Plot.

By the spring of 1999, the Order had collected and destroyed all of the Horcruxes except one; the locket. With the search for the locket going on in force and, even including the help from the muggle military, the war was proving favorable to Voldemort, the Dark Lord swiftly moved in to end the threat to the last fracture of his soul. Searching for the Boy Who Lived, He was intent on finishing the thing that had been a thorn in his plans of conquest once and for all.

The Order, along with members of the Ministry and Muggle military were taken by surprise when Voldemort discovered their whereabouts. Knowing Harry was amongst them, The Dark Lord swiftly and mercilessly killed any in his way as he searched.

Seeing the death and destruction of his friends and allies, Harry knew that the only way to save them would be to show himself to Voldemort and draw him away from the others. His attempt was successful, and without the help of others he was once again alone and facing the Dark Lord. Knowing that without the locket, he could not truly destroy his enemy once and for all, Harry’s only option was to destroy His physical form. Knowing that Harry was still no match for him, Voldemort entered the battle fully confident that prophesied threat to his life would end here. The battle raged and Harry could see that the only slim chance of him harming his enemy would be to leave himself open to attacks, and blind Voldemort with the idea of victory.

With his enemy seemingly defeated, Voldemort’s only thoughts were on murder and all thoughts of defeat were cast from his mind. At the last possible moment, bolstered by thoughts of his loved ones, Harry attacked viciously taking Voldemort completely by surprise. With the tables turned, Harry released an arsenal of spells that were backed by the anger and pain that Voldemort had caused him throughout his entire life.

Taken by surprise and unable to retaliate the newly weakened Dark Lord saw escape, as once again, his only option. The two duelists weakened to the point of collapse, Voldemort blindly used his last resort; a time turner, just as Harry cast a spell so reckless and powerful that it destroyed nearly everything within a twenty foot radius.

Found beneath the rubble of the destruction, Harry was taken to safety and revived. The Order found no signs of Voldemort in the devastation caused by the battle, and with Harry’s own testimony they were sure that The Dark Lord was still at large. Rumors quickly spread among the people that Voldemort had been defeated, and though there was no proof of his defeat the Death Eaters were shaken but still continued to fight; and the Ministry saw hopes renewed and started to push back the tide of evil. It wasn't long before the Death Eaters began to know defeat after defeat, and so without the strength of their Lord behind them, they fled. Many in their number were killed and a few were detained by the Ministry before they were able to escape completely.

Victory rang throughout Britain and the people rejoiced; wizard and muggle alike. The two communities worked together to push back the last remnants of Voldemort's army of monsters, and together rebuilt their homes. No longer able to hide the wizarding community from the muggle world, the two Ministers announced that the alliance between the two worlds was there to stay.

Knowing that a fragment of Voldemort’s soul was still out there, the Order continued their desperate search for the locket.


Four years later in the summer of 2002, the people live in peace and lead normal lives once again, even with the mixing of the two worlds. But within the peace there lies a hatred in the dark forests of the Highlands; a shadow darker than any other and it calls to its loyal followers. Lord Voldemort would not accept defeat.


Twenty-three years previous, Regulus Black found himself pledging his life to service under the Dark Lord. The death and destruction they caused didn’t sit well with the younger Black son, and only a year later he abandoned the pledge he had made to Voldemort and deserted. Being a member of the Black family, he was privy to secrets the Dark Lord had only told a select few; one of those things was the Horcrux that he helped create in the form of a locket. Intent to do his part to defeat the evil he had helped forward, Regulus took the locket and went into hiding (as only a Black knows how) from the execution he knew awaited him. Unable to find him, and not wanting to disappoint their Lord, the Death Eaters sent to kill him returned to Voldemort with lies of success.

With the beginning of a new year, 2003, the people were awakened to the truth when the Death Eaters, along with their allies of magical creatures, attacked the ball held by the Ministry, and the Dark Lord announced his return. Hundreds were slaughtered and few escaped unharmed before the Death Eaters withdrew, content to let their victims lick their wounds and think about what had occurred. Once again reassembled, the Death Eaters continued their recruiting that had begun before their attack on the ball and planned their next course of action.

With the abrupt knowledge of the return of their worst enemy, the Order threw all efforts into their search for the locket that contained the final fracture of Voldemort’s soul; the deaths at the ball weighed heavily on their shoulders. The Ministries of the Muggle and Wizarding communities immediately strengthened their defenses and began their own search for those responsible for the lives lost.

There are those who doubt the validity in believing that the Death Eaters have returned, while others take this opportunity and use it for their own personal gain. Groups of individuals use the guise of the Death Eaters to inspire fear and obtain worldly goods. Confusion, doubt, and old fears riddle the minds of the populace, causing trust to become a scarce thing. With deception becoming a more common art, even the tight knit within the Order can be penetrated.
